In a historically conservative country, Dubai does everything to the extreme, standing out for its uber-modern architecture. Coupled with lively nightlife, luxury shopping, and world-class dining, the soaring skyscrapers, palm-shaped islands, and golden beaches make the town a sight to behold and be explored.

In this article, let's talk about easy ways to apply for Dubai visa online. Applying for Dubai E Visa is a simple online process. Most applicants get their E visa approval within minutes (via email). However several requests will take several days to process if you are requested to provide supporting documentation. As it saves a lot of time, it is best to apply for a visa online before your flight to Dubai.

You don't need a separate visa from Dubai. As Dubai is not a country of its own, there is no separate 'Dubai Visa'; it is part of the UAE. If you have a visa that allows you to reach the UAE, you can fly to any of its emirates, including Dubai.

ENTRY RESTRICTIONS DUE TO COVID 19

  • Before traveling, residents returning to Dubai still need to get permission. Those returning to other areas of the UAE do not need approval anymore.
  • Currently, tourist and visitor visas are only provided by the Dubai authorities. Tourists and visitors can't travel to Abu Dhabi by plane.
  • Travelers from the United Kingdom to Dubai have the option of either submitting a pre-departure COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) negative test valid for 96 hours from the date of the test or taking a PCR test on arrival at Dubai airport.
  • Travelers to the rest of the UAE must have had a COVID-19 PCR test conducted within 96 hours and obtained a negative result prior to their departure (there are exemptions for Emirati citizens). You will also need to perform a second test on arrival, depending on your port of entry. Travelers entering Abu Dhabi are also required to wear a wristband issued by the government, complete a self-isolation or quarantine period of at least 14 days, and have at least two more COVID-19 PCR tests during this period.
  • You would need to have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 96 hours before your departure if you depart from Abu Dhabi to the EU and the UK. For trips from Dubai to the UK, this no longer applies.
  • You must have a negative test result within 96 hours of your departure from the UAE if you are traveling from the UAE to other countries that need a negative COVID-19 PCR test before arrival.
